Opuntia Microdasys ‘Bunny Ear Cactus’ is a plant cultivar that is well-known for its distinctive look and low maintenance requirements. This variation has Red Dots on it. Like any other Bunny Ear Cactus, this cactus also belongs to Mexico. This Mexican native cactus is highly valued for its flattened, pad-like stems that are coated in tiny, hair-like spines called glochids that can irritate skin when touched. The ‘Bunny Ear Cactus’ type gets its name from the way each stem resembles a flattened oval or teardrop shape, which exactly looks just like rabbit ears. In particular, the Red Dot variety is distinguished by its glochids, which are a brilliant red colour that contrasts sharply with the green stems.
